Description
During the Art Deco movement designers of all kinds gravitated towards experimenting with new shapes. This was the catalyst for geometric wonders like this ring, which incorporate several different shapes and cuts, to create a fluid work of art. Mounting the central diamond are sixteen square-cut sapphires, set in the formation of a square, a nod to the 1920s movement. On either side of the sapphire frame, are three diamonds set in a pyramid formation, flanking the middle component. Accented with a pierced setting and millegrain border, the shoulders of this ring are of equal interest to the head and also pay homage to the appreciation of shape. Everything about this ring is intentional, and well thought out, although its elements on their own may be simple when combined with one another, they work in perfect harmony.
