  • Edwardian-Platinum-Topaz-Diamond-Cluster-Ring-Antique-Jewellery-Vintage

Edwardian, Platinum, Topaz and Diamond Cluster Ring

The pale, golden yellow of this topaz is perhaps the colour most historically associated with the stone, which shot to popularity in the late 18th and early 19th century due to its flattering and delicate colour palette and beautifully clean crystals. This antique cushion-cut is the perfect shape to show off this classic hue, which comes alive with a soft, golden glow by light. The shallow cut means that it sits with a low profile on the hand, in a characteristically light and elegant Edwardian mount set with a border of circular-cut diamonds. This is such a stunning antique ring.  Please view the technical details below. • Belle Époque, 18ct Gold, Cabochon Peach Moonstone and Diamond Ring

Belle Époque, 18ct Gold, Cabochon Peach Moonstone and Diamond Ring

At the heart of this ring is a wonderful peach coloured moonstone with a characteristic white sheen, held in a finely millegrained mount in warm yellow gold with delicately scrolled shoulders. The distinctive sheen of the moonstone is known as adularescence, and is caused by light interacting with the layered structure of the moonstone’s crystal. In this case it’s a particularly well-centred sheen of soft white, combining with the beautiful body colour of the moonstone to create a stone of unusual charm, seemingly lit from within.   Please view the technical details below.
