Provenance

Made in 1917, this solitaire ring features a good sized opal with an intriguing play-of-colour against a grey body colour. The patches of iridescence are well distributed throughout the stone and most prominently feature green and yellow. The play-of-colour is seen against a muted subtle violet-grey background.

Rub-over set with millegrain edge detail and a closed gallery. Split shoulders with fine openwork that terminates at a triple ridge detail before flowing to a solid 18ct yellow gold band.

We love how unusual this opal is and its low profile setting make it so comfortable to wear.
