White Gold Rings

Our Collection of Antique and Vintage White Gold Engagement RingsWhite gold is achieved by combining 24 carat gold with other white metals- such ad palladium, nickel or silver. This combination is thought to channel opposing energies, of both the sun and the moon. Aside from the symbolic connotations, white gold has a beautiful soft lustre, not quite as warm as gold, nor as cool as platinum, it flatters many skin tones and has an understated effortless appeal, making it a very chic choice for an engagement ring.

  • Antique Diamond Three-Stone Engagement Ring, Circa 1930

Antique Diamond Three-Stone Engagement Ring, Circa 1930

This 1930s ring offers a unique take on the classic three-stone engagement ring. Its 18ct white gold mount is generously studded with delicate round-cut diamonds that elegantly trace the ring’s distinctive shape. Amidst the flurry of smaller diamonds are three principal diamonds, their weight amounting to a generous 1.02ct. The jeweller has employed an intricate open work setting allowing each of the three central stones to breathe. The design also enables the eye to glide fluidly over the ring and take in all of the different elements. With a total combined weight of 1.26ct, this ring emanates a lot of brilliance, and the jeweller has maximised that by pairing the pristine stones with metals that complement their hue. • Vintage-Art-Deco-Square-Sapphire-Diamond-Dress-Ring

Art Deco Square Sapphire & Diamond Ring

During the Art Deco movement designers of all kinds gravitated towards experimenting with new shapes. This was the catalyst for geometric wonders like this ring, which incorporate several different shapes and cuts, to create a fluid work of art. Mounting the central diamond are sixteen square-cut sapphires, set in the formation of a square, a nod to the 1920s movement. On either side of the sapphire frame, are three diamonds set in a pyramid formation, flanking the middle component. Accented with a pierced setting and millegrain border, the shoulders of this ring are of equal interest to the head and also pay homage to the appreciation of shape. Everything about this ring is intentional, and well thought out, although its elements on their own may be simple when combined with one another, they work in perfect harmony. • Art Deco, Platinum, Cabochon Sri Lankan Sapphire and Diamond Ring

Art Deco, Platinum, Cabochon Sri Lankan Sapphire and Diamond Ring

Sapphire and Diamond Ring. ‘Cabochon’ is the name for a domed cut, and apart from free-form tumbled beads, it is historically the oldest stone cut. Cabochons don’t rely on facets to sparkle and reflect light - rather, they rely on the stone’s colour and clarity to pool light within the stone, giving them a softer, more subtle appearance than faceted stones. This cabochon is extraordinary for its depth, which gives the stone a beautiful interior play of light, shifting with the angle of the stone. Sri Lankan sapphires are the perfect choice for this historic cut, with the relative lightness of their famed ‘cornflower’ blue allowing light to shine beautifully through the stone without being obscured. This beguiling sapphire is set within a delicate quatrefoil setting set with rose diamonds - a simple and poetic touch. Sapphires are well-known for their range of blues, but their pink and yellow shades are also treasured. A lesser known shade however is green, which sapphires form through densely layered bands of blue and yellow zoning caused by iron impurities within the crystal. Green sapphires tend to be a beautiful, forest green with dapples of blue and yellow zoning, quite unlike the greens of emeralds and peridots. Frequently Asked Questions

Find out about resizing, certification and shipping at The Antique Ring Boutique

Can a ring be re-sized?

Yes, most of our rings can be re-sized; unless stated in the item description. Simply add your required size in the notes section at checkout, and our team will take care of the rest!

What is my ring size?

If you are unsure of your ring size after choosing the perfect ring, please consult the sizing guide here or contact us to get a more accurate gauge of your ring size.

How long does re-sizing take?

Please allow an additional 5 to 10 working days to the delivery time. If you require your order for a particular date, please get in touch as soon as possible, and we will do our best to accommodate.

Can I purchase a ring and later return it to be re-sized?

Yes, we do. For example, if you have recently purchased a vintage engagement ring online, but it is not quite the right size for your partner, we can resize it. There is no additional charge for this but the buyer is responsible for the return postage and insurance upon return.

Does the ring come with a certificate?

While most of our rings are accompanied by gemological certificates, it is possible to provide a certificate to rings which don’t already have a certificate. There is an additional charge for this. All of the rings are checked and examined by a professional gemologist before they reach the website.

Do you ship items internationally?

Yes, we provide free international express shipping on all online orders. Local taxes and duties may apply. However, we currently do not ship to the following territories: Africa, Brazil, Cambodia, India, Israel, Lithuania, North Korea, Pakistan, Republic of Georgia, Russia, Turkey, etc.
