Provenance

Made during the 1950s, this vintage engagement ring has the most stunning sparkle! Set to centre with a round brilliant-cut diamond, claw-set in an open-back setting, the claws are modelled to make the central diamond almost appear to have a cushion-shaped outline, but with all the brilliance of a perfectly cut stone.

The central diamond is slightly raised, surrounded below by a cluster of eight further round brilliant-cut diamonds, each perfectly matched in colour and clarity, also claw-set in open-back settings. The gallery is designed as a linear basket-like design, intricately pierced with a petal motif. The shoulders are open and feature chenier detail, they subtly taper inwards before leading to a solid 18ct white gold shank.
