Diamond and sapphire ring, late 19th Century. This classic five-stone
Antique Ring is set with a well-matched sequence of deep blue cushion-shaped sapphires and old European-cut diamonds, the junctions between three stones cleverly filled with tiny rose diamonds. The metal work is equally well worked in yellow gold, the sides with beautiful hand cut scrollwork leading into an elegantly tapered band. These versatile rings are substantial enough to work well as an engagement ring, but also sit comfortably alongside others as part of a ring stack.
