Provenance

Original to c.1935, this late Art Deco three-stone ring has such flattering proportions and the oval-cut sapphire displays an intense velvety royal-blue. Elegantly claw-set in an open-back setting and flanked by two round transitional-cut diamonds - the last of the hand-facetted diamonds before the laser-cut modern round-brilliant cut became the standard.

The diamonds are much smaller than the central sapphire and they create a striking balance of stones across the finger. The gallery is intricately pierced with a linear design and the shoulders are solid and slender, elegantly tapering to a solid 18ct yellow gold band.
