Art Deco, Platinum, Onyx and Diamond Ring

    Description

Art Deco Onyx and Diamond ring. The early 1920s saw the rise of Art Deco - a style based on simple geometry that erased the delicately ornate, occasionally fussy design of the previous decades. Some of its earliest examples are simple compositions in black and white. This onyx and diamond ring is an excellent example of this elegant monochromatic style - a sugarloaf onyx is inset with a delicate quatrefoil set with circular-cut diamonds, its claws accented with delicately sparkling rose diamonds. An effortlessly stylish and wearable ring - giving a touch of 20s decadence to any ensemble.

    Why I love it...

Unapologetically deco, this desperately chic ring is everything you want in an original 1920s cocktail ring. A geometric design, formed by a piece of polished onyx hosting a central diamond set flower, securely held in place by diamond set claws. My favourite part... every millimetre of the back of this ring is beautifully engraved, in platinum, with a sinuous scrolling motif. Exquisite."
