Green sapphire and diamond ring, circa 1925. In addition to their famous blue variety, sapphires come in a huge variety of different colours, depending on their chemical impurities. The sapphire at the centre of this ring is a silvery, sage green – an unusual shade, which, coupled with exceptional clarity and a very well-proportioned cut, makes for an immensely charming stone. Two early 20th century circular-cut diamonds as shoulder stones makes this a perfect engagement ring.
