Description
Sapphire and diamond ring circa 1910. This sweet ring is a classic floral cluster, with an unheated oval sapphire in an attractive ‘cornflower’ blue at its centre, its hint of violet characteristic of its Sri Lankan (Ceylon) origins. The surround is a delicate border of circular-cut diamonds platinum settings with millegrain edges, its reverse hand pierced with geometric designs., and would make an ideal engagement ring.

Sapphire: approximately 1.8 carats, accompanied by GCS report no. 80237-78, stating that the sapphire measuring 7.9 x 6.4 x 4.3mm and weighing approximately 1.8 carats is of Sri Lankan origin, with no indications of heat treatment.
