Provenance

Original to c.1905, this Edwardian diamond engagement ring is truly exceptional. Set to centre with a large round old-cut diamond of impressive size and quality. Claw-set in an open-back setting and flanked by two cushion old-mine cut diamonds each perfectly matched in colour, clarity and scale.

The flanking diamonds are smaller than the central stone and were cut at an earlier date. All three diamonds show the beautiful soft glow that antique, hand-cut stones are so highly prized for.

The gallery sits pleasingly low in profile and is intricately pierced with a delicate open-work scalloped design. The shoulders gently taper inwards before flowing into a solid D-shape shank.
