Provenance
Originating from the United Kingdom, this piece dates to circa 1910, during the Edwardian era. While diamond three-stone rings from this period are not uncommon, there is truly nothing quite like this example. By modern standards, diamonds are often valued for their whiteness and perfection. Yet here, it is the individuality - the so-called ‘flaws’ - that make this ring exceptional. Each of the three diamonds is entirely distinct, displaying subtle variations in tone, with soft hues of brown, pink, and warm champagne. Hand-cut, no two facets are identical, giving each stone a unique character and life.
The gentle, romantic glow of the old-cut diamonds enhances these natural tones beautifully, creating a softness that modern stones rarely achieve.
The diamonds are set in elegantly curving claws, leading to a linear gallery and slightly raised shoulders adorned with delicate chenier detail, all set upon a solid 18ct yellow gold shank. The result is a beautifully balanced spread of old-cut diamonds across the finger - rich in character, warmth, and quiet individuality.
