Antique | Art Nouveau Sapphire & Diamond Ring, 18ct Gold

    Description

"I love the undulating curves and natural leaf-like motifs of this ring. The platinum setting is detailed with soft millegrain complimenting the intricate metal work that has been so carefully lined with diamonds. All of the lines in this ring lead back to the central stone, a deep and rich azure Sapphire. The metal work is incredibly fine and displays a high level of craftsmanship throughout the ring. This masterpiece of a ring features a rare design and for this reason would make a very special engagement ring."

    What does my gemstone mean?
    Sapphire
The bold azure blue of sapphire is thought to represent the study of the stars- this is obvious when we notice the resemblance between a sapphire's deep hue and the colour of the night sky. The name sapphire is derived from the Latin ‘saphirus,’ which directly translates to ‘blue.’ Sapphires are symbolic of luck, loyalty, happiness and love.
