Belle Époque, Synthetic Peach Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring, 14ct Yellow Gold
This Belle Époque piece is such a pretty ring, and quite rare. Synthetic gemstones were at the cutting-edge of scientific lab research and development. The ability to produce a sapphire in laboratory enabled jewellers to source the perfect gemstone; displaying magical colours such as the centre sapphire in this cluster ring. The peach stone is undeniably charming, and such a beautiful colour, the pink and orange notes combine with the gold band are reminiscent of a sunset. I love the design which incorporates the use of repetition using the smaller daisy-shaped diamonds to mirror the overall shape of the ring. A very unique ring, it would make a wonderful dress piece or engagement ring. Date & Design Period:Circa 1900 | Early 20th Century Metal Composition:14ct Yellow Gold, Platinum. Engagement | Vintage, Green Sapphire and Diamond Ring, 18ct White Gold
Sapphires are well-known for their range of blues, but their pink and yellow shades are also treasured. A lesser known shade however is green, which sapphires form through densely layered bands of blue and yellow zoning caused by iron impurities within the crystal. Green sapphires tend to be a beautiful, forest green with dapples of blue and yellow zoning, quite unlike the greens of emeralds and peridots. Subtle yet distinctive, this intriguingly beautiful stone sits within a stylish mount set with a seamless line of channel-set baguette diamonds, adding a subtle shimmer to this superb engagement ring. Antique, Edwardian, Diamond Three Stone Engagement Ring, Platinum
I love this antique ring. It is a twist on the classic three stone look that incorporates a sense of movement, rhythm. The curves on this ring are subtle and elegant, and result in a ring that is almost saddle shaped, but without any bulkiness- the gaps in between the central three diamonds and the curved branches allow so much light to dance around this ring, the lustre is dazzling. The romantic origins behind three stone rings also solidify its high standing in the search for the perfect engagement ring! This rare and charming antique ring is designed as two hearts beneath a crown, it is set with a pair of pink sapphires of exceptional quality that display the rich, saturated pink body colour for which Burmese stones are famed.
