Emerald and diamond, circa 1890. With its rich body colour and its classic elongated hexagonal cut, this is a superb antique emerald, balancing excellent clarity with the typically characterful ‘garden’ of inclusions which are expected in emeralds. Traditionally mounted in a tapered claw setting to protect its edges, this historic ring style is enlivened with pavé-set cushion-shaped diamonds at each side, glittering against the warm yellow gold mount.
Why I love it...
“ This is an extremely stunning emerald, the colour is magnificent, it almost glows and the shape is very unusual. I love the diamond shoulders. This is such a special ring.”
