Aquamarine ring, Pérignon, 1960s. The beautiful aquamarine in this ring showcases everything that makes this stone extraordinary: the pale, slightly greenish blue hue which gives the stone its historical association with water, its excellent transparency, and finally its remarkable size. At approximately 26.5 carats, this excellent stone is faceted in a subtle oval step cut, and set in a simple 18 carat gold mount, with the French maker’s mark RP flanking an hourglass – the symbol of the maker Pérignon, based in Dijon. A fabulous jewel and a beautiful gemmological specimen – an excellent choice for a cocktail ring.
