Mid Century, 1930s, 14ct Gold, Aquamarine and Diamond Ring

    Description

"Aquamarine is a pale blue variety of the beryl family of minerals. Owing its subtle colouring to iron impurities, aquamarine has long been associated with water, and was traditionally thought to safeguard sailors on their voyages. This beautiful oval aquamarine is set within an opulent Baroque-style mount with hand chased scroll work and subtle accents of rose-cut diamonds - an attractive and unusual design."
