Five Stone Rings
During the Victorian era, before the solitaire engagement rings gained popularity, the classic five-stone ring was the prime engagement choice. Although each of the five stones could be representative of 1 of 5 years, or for some 5 decades- they could also be simply a more decadent alternative to a single stoned ring. Odd numbers are preferred in the rules of symmetry and proportion and allow for one stone to sit centrally, maintaining balance on either side. Although typically worn in an engagement fashion, five stone rings are also great everyday or dress pieces. Browse our full collection of Vintage Five Stone Rings below.
