Description
A wonderful play of colour, with dominant blues, greens and yellows is displayed in this cabochon crystal opal. With a generous weight of 7ct, its a very appropriate size to mount a cocktail ring. First crafted in the 18th century, paste gemstones were made to stimulate the look of natural gemstones, usually cut and faceted from leaded glass. This ring's Edwardian heritage is responsible for the cluster of paste gemstones, which are relatively rare nowadays and a true marker of an antique ring.
