Provenance

Original to c.1925, this fire opal cluster ring is a very fine and striking example of Art Deco craftsmanship. Set to centre with a natural fire opal with the most incredible colour; a fluorescent orange with fiery red undertones that flicker like flames as the stone is turned. It quite literally glows with an almost molten intensity and weighing 2.05ct, with exceptional clarity - this gemstone is truly the finest of its kind.

Set in a smooth rub-over mount, exquisitely finished with fine millegrain detailing and framed within an elegant cluster design. The surrounding panels feature round single-cut diamonds, grain-set and bordered by further millegrain edge detail.

The gallery is very intricately pierced by openwork carefully crafted in a style reminiscent of a delicate spiders web. The shoulders are further set with single-cut diamonds, elegantly raised and open, featuring refined chenier detail, they steeply taper to a solid 18ct white gold shank.
