Provenance

Made in 1939, this vintage three-stone engagement ring is the perfect combination of old-cut sparkle and chunky gold goodness. Set with three diamonds with various cuts, to centre a round transitional cut stone (the last of the hand-facetted diamonds), likely cut during the 1920-30s. Two slightly smaller flanking diamonds, one is another transitional-cut diamond and the other is round old-cut, which will have been hand-cut during the Edwardian era.

All three stones are claw-set in open-back settings. The gallery is intricately pierced and sits pleasingly low in profile, making the ring both comfortable and practical to wear and love everyday.

The shoulders are solid gold and have a substantial presence and chunkiness to them, seamlessly flowing to a solid gold D-shape shank.
