Antique, Edwardian sea-green emerald and diamond cluster engagement ring

Provenance
Original to c.1910, this sweet Edwardian ring is set to centre with a natural emerald with the most delicate sea foam green hue. It has a gorgeous mintiness to it which is unusual to find, especially in such a clear emerald. Rectangular step-cut and rub-over set in an open-back setting.
Surrounding it, twelve old-mine cut diamonds which twinkle beautifully, each one distinct with its own character and charm. The diamonds are grain and rub-over set, bordered by millegrain edging, it follows a foliate outline. This ring is such a delicate and elegant piece, a wonderful reflection of the Edwardian aesthetic which also favoured soft pastel shades such as the hue of this emerald.
