Provenance
Original to c.1905, this ring is an exceptional example of Art Nouveau craftsmanship. Set to centre with a round old-cut diamond with a bright and lively appearance and excellent symmetry. Claw-set in an open-back setting and framed by stylised ivy leaf motifs carved in solid gold, from which a dramatic cross over design unfurls.
The open-work tendrils terminate in a flourish and exude the fluidity of the free-line, known as the 'whiplash', which was at the very heart of the movement's ethos. Grain-set with single-cut diamonds throughout, appropriately graduated in size and leading to minute granulation detail.
The cross-over design extends up the finger and the ring's low profile ensures comfortable and practical wear. The shoulders are formed of stylised stems, further grain-set with diamonds and bordered by polished edges. To an 18ct yellow gold shank with hand engraved ridge detail continuing around the entire band.

A small number of rings cannot be resized due to their material or design; this will always be clearly noted in the product description.
We provide free express shipping on all online orders.
For UK orders, orders are shipped via Royal Mail Special Delivery, the working day after the payment has cleared. Please allow 1-2 business days for your order to arrive.
For orders from all other countries, orders are shipped via FedEx or DHL, the working day after the payment has cleared. Please allow 4-5 business days for your order to arrive.
Both UK and international shipments are fully tracked and traceable and require a signature from customers upon receipt.
For all orders shipped to the U.S., we cover international tariffs and duties, so you won’t need to worry about them - they are included in the price on the website.
If you wish to return a ring, we offer a full refund minus the cost of these tariffs: 10% for antique rings (over 100 years old) and 15.5% for other pieces.
