Discover the magical qualities of Moonstone Jewellery. Our collection of Moonstone Rings features an original Victorian Moonstone Ring and more. Moonstone is a semi-precious gemstone that is known for its opalescent hue. Moonstone represents inner clarity, cyclical change, and a connection to the feminine. This translucent kaleidoscope-like stone has long held observers in awe and holds a similar appeal to that of the opal. It is often cut in cabochon formation to flatter it's iridescence, making its name that relates to the moon even more apt! Browse our full collection of Vintage Moonstone Rings below!
Belle Époque, 18ct Gold, Cabochon Peach Moonstone and Diamond Ring
At the heart of this ring is a wonderful peach coloured moonstone with a characteristic white sheen, held in a finely millegrained mount in warm yellow gold with delicately scrolled shoulders. The distinctive sheen of the moonstone is known as adularescence, and is caused by light interacting with the layered structure of the moonstone’s crystal. In this case it’s a particularly well-centred sheen of soft white, combining with the beautiful body colour of the moonstone to create a stone of unusual charm, seemingly lit from within.
