Antique & Vintage Diamond Rings FAQs
Diamonds are often associated with strength, love, health and longevity. Throughout history, leaders and powerful figures have worn diamonds to symbolise their strength and invincibility.
Diamonds have a rating of 10 on the Mohs scale, making it an extremely tough gemstone. They are the toughest naturally occurring minerals, making them ideal for everyday wear, especially for an engagement ring.
In terms of sustainability, purchasing antique and vintage rings rather than a new ring can reduce your carbon footprint. As a result, it makes more sense to reuse valuable gemstones such as gold and diamonds rather than mining new ones.
With this in mind, purchasing antique diamond rings and vintage diamond rings is considerably better as it mitigates the damage done to the environment from the effects of mining practices.
