Vintage 6.44ct Sapphire & Diamond Three-Stone Engagement Ring
Circa 1980 | England
A beautiful example of a vintage three-stone engagement ring, set with a striking 6.44 carat royal blue native-cut sapphire, likely dating back to the 19th century. The principal sapphire is secured in an 18ct white gold claw setting with open back-holing, allowing light to enhance its depth of colour. It is flanked by two trillion-cut (triangular) diamonds, with a combined weight of 0.60 carats, each set in finely detailed grain settings that flow seamlessly into the shoulders of the 18ct yellow gold band.
