Vintage, 1980s Colombian emerald & diamond cluster engagement ring

Provenance
Made in London in 1983, this cluster ring is centred around an incredible natural Colombian emerald with a vibrant rainforest-green hue. The colour is both rich and luscious whilst remaining fresh and lively. Emerald-cut and approximately 1.35ct in weight, claw-set in an open-back setting. Colombia is the origin of the world's finest emeralds both historically and to present day.
Surrounded by a cluster of twelve round brilliant-cut diamonds, perfectly matched in colour and clarity, claw set in 18ct yellow gold which gives them a lovely warmth and softness.
The gallery is basket-shaped and formed by linear openwork. The shoulders are very lightly raised, open and taper inwards to form a solid 18ct yellow gold band. Carefully made to be wed-fit, making this ring a perfect choice for an engagement ring.
