Provenance
Original to c.1860, this diamond three-stone ring features gorgeous cushion shaped old-mine cut diamonds with such charmingly chunky proportions and the softest sparkle. Each of the diamonds has a slightly different tint to it, adding to their individuality. The left has a cool-toned grey tint, the middle a very subtle peach undertone and the right has a distinctive brown tint.
All three diamonds are roughly the same size and claw-set in open-back settings. The claws feature tri-split detail engraved with a delicate ridge - they resemble Georgian cut-down settings, cleverly adapted to allow light to actually pass in through the sides of the stones, making them sparkle beautifully. The gallery is open and features very fine chenier details, the ring’s profile is nice and low, making it extremely comfortable to wear. The split shoulders are designed as stylised tulips, terminating in subtle scroll detail. The shank very gently tapers to a solid D-shape 18ct yellow gold

- Hallmarks: Marked with ‘18CT’ to indicate 18ct yellow gold, further marked with maker’s mark ‘H M’ which we have been unable to trace further.

You can purchase the ring and then return if for resizing if needed - if you buy an engagement ring, for instance, but it is not quite the right size for your partner. There is no additional charge for this but the buyer is responsible for the return postage and insurance.
