Vintage, 1940s blue sapphire and diamond cluster engagement ring

Provenance
Original to c.1940, this vintage cluster engagement ring is set to centre with a natural blue Sapphire with an intense and rich midnight blue hue. Oval-cut and claw-set in an open-back setting. Surrounded by halo of round brilliant-cut diamonds, each perfectly matched in colour and clarity. Their bright white scintillation contrasts incredibly with the deep blue centre stone, as if they were stars against a clear night sky.
The diamonds are also claw-set in open-back settings and the gallery is intricately pierced. The rings profile sits low on the finger, comfortable and practical for everyday wear and the shoulders gently taper inwards before flowing to a solid gold band. The shoulders are very slightly open and feature delicate millegrain details.

A small number of rings cannot be resized due to their material or design; this will always be clearly noted in the product description.
