Antique, Edwardian sapphire and diamond five-stone engagement ring
Current band size: UK: O / US: 7.5 /
Single complimentary re-size available. This ring can easily be re-sized up or down, however we would not recommend sizing it smaller than an I 1/2.
Provenance
Original to c.1917, this Edwardian sapphire and diamond five-stone ring is beautifully proportioned and effortlessly wearable. Set with three natural cushion-cut sapphires with a rich velvety blue colour, each carefully matched in colour and quality. The sapphires are graduated in size with the central stone being largest.
Interspersed with four tiny old-cut diamonds which have been stacked in pairs so as to give the illusion of a single larger stone. All stones are claw-set in open-back settings and when seen together resemble twinkling stars against a midnight sky. The gallery features linear open-work and the shoulders are engraved with ridged detail which tapers to a solid gold D-shape shank.
