Provenance

Original to c.1900, this Victorian cluster ring is so unbelievably striking. Set to centre with a natural amethyst, round-cut and with the most stunning violet shade of purple, evenly distributed throughout and with remarkable clarity.

Claw-set in an open-back setting, slightly raised and surrounded by a halo of cushion old-mine cut diamonds, each with its own characteristic charm and sparkle. The gallery is intricately pierced and the shoulders are open with finely crafted chenier details.

The shoulders elegantly taper to a solid D-shape shank. Despite the ring's impressive scale and finger coverage, it remains relatively low in profile and is very comfortable and practical to wear.
