Provenance
Crafted in our own workshop using traditional techniques, this beautiful ring has been thoughtfully designed to be cherished for a lifetime. At its centre sits a natural, unheated 19th century Ceylon sapphire.
This is such an incredible sapphire for a number of reasons; weighing over 5ct and exhibiting the dreamy cornflower blue for which Ceylon sapphires are so highly prized - stones such as this one are hard to come by. It has a lovely softness, comparable to blue silk with deeper bluebell undertones which appear as the stone is turned.
This gemstone came from an impressive set of 19th century dress clips, small jewels which would be fastened to the buttons on a lady's dress. This sapphire was one of four which have now been re-purposed to make beautiful rings such as this one. This sapphire is unheated, has excellent clarity and the most charming cushion outline ever!
Surrounded by a halo of fourteen round brilliant-cut diamonds, perfectly matched in colour and clarity; G, VS1. Claw-set in white gold above a raised open gallery with a fine linear structure which allows a wedding band to sit comfortably in flush. The shoulders are open with chenier detail, they taper inwards before elegantly flowing to a solid gold shank.
This is such an incredible heirloom piece to be admired and worn for generations to come!

A small number of rings cannot be resized due to their material or design; this will always be clearly noted in the product description.
