Provenance

Original to c.1925, this Art Deco era ring is everything a cocktail ring should be: bold, glamorous and full of character. Set to centre with a natural amethyst with a gorgeous grape tone. It has striking pink undertones which glow playfully under light. Octagonal-cut and weighing over 10ct, claw-set in an open-back setting.

Flanked by tapering shoulders designed as a series of descending steps or planes that have an unmistakably architectural essence - evoking the sky-scrapers beginning to dominate the New York skyline. The gallery is open and beneath the shoulders is particularly fine open-work that adds to the structured and geometric feel of the ring. Flowing to a solid 18ct white gold shank.
