Provenance
Original to c.1905, this Edwardian cluster ring has so much charm and character whilst remaining effortlessly elegant. Set to centre with a cushion old-mine cut diamond with a subtle yellow tint which gives it a stunning warmth and glow. Secured by a rub-over setting finished with fine milegrain edging.
Surrounded by a double cluster of old-cut diamonds, eight diamonds encircling the central stone, surrounded by a second cluster of 16 old cut diamonds, 24 in total. Each slightly differs in colour, shape, cut and size - flaws by modern grading standards, yet this is what makes the ring so special! All diamonds grain-set and bordered by milegrain edging.
The gallery is intricately pierced with fine scallop detail and sits low in profile which makes this ring incredibly comfortable and practical to wear - it would be the perfect engagement ring! The shoulders are open and gently taper inwards before seamlessly flowing to a solid 18ct white gold D-shape shank.
