Provenance
Handcrafted in our own wonderful workshop using traditional techniques, this beautiful ring has been thoughtfully designed for a lifetime of love and wear. Set to centre with a natural Ceylon yellow sapphire with a delicate dandelion-yellow hue which has such an ethereal glow to it. It weighs 4.99ct and has remarkable clarity for its large size.
This gemstone came from an impressive set of 19th century dress clips, small jewels which would be fastened to the buttons on a lady's dress. This sapphire was one of four (all Ceylon, all 5ct each) which have now been re-purposed to make beautiful rings such as this one. This sapphire is unheated and has the most charming cushion outline ever!
The sapphire is claw-set in an open-back setting which allows light to flood into the stone and illuminate it from within. Surrounded by a halo of fourteen round brilliant-cut diamonds, perfectly matched in colour and clarity; G, VS1. Claw-set in white gold above a raised open gallery with a fine linear structure which allows a wedding band to sit comfortably in flush. The shoulders are open with chenier detail, they taper inwards before elegantly flowing to a solid gold shank.
The gold is 14ct yellow gold - our favourite alloy for its durability and soft tone.

A small number of rings cannot be resized due to their material or design; this will always be clearly noted in the product description.

If you wish to return a ring, we offer a full refund minus the cost of these tariffs: 10% for antique rings (over 100 years old) and 15.5% for other pieces.
