A stunning vintage ring, set with a 6.28 carat cabochon-cut white opal. The opal is secured in an 18ct yellow gold open work mount, claw-set and flattered by the simple gallery and split shoulders. The opal is a fine example of its kind with a play of colour featuring dominant reds and greens. Tested 18ct yellow gold, circa 1940.
