Provenance
A gorgeous 1980s cluster ring featuring the dreamiest natural, unheated sapphire with a stunning periwinkle blue colour. This sapphire hails from Madagascar, a locality renowned for producing sapphires of a broad range of colour with very high quality clarity. Blue Madagascan sapphires have been known to rival even the finest 'cornflower-blue' sapphires from Sri Lanka.
Surrounded by a cluster of natural diamonds, ten round brilliant-cut diamonds in total and two baguette-cut diamonds forming the shoulders. The combination of diamond cuts offers a striking and visually pleasing juxtaposition between the brilliance and fire produced by the round brilliant stones and the elegant 'hall of mirrors' effect seen in the baguette cuts.
The proportions of this ring enable a perfect spread of stones across the finger and the orientation of the baguette cuts in particular offers a flattering and elongating fit when worn. This ring is everything a cluster should be - beautiful, glamorous and timelessly chic!
