Provenance

Made during the 1980s, this huge cluster cocktail ring is set to centre with a oval opal cut en-cabochon with an excellent play-of-colour. Iridescent patches are evenly distributed throughout the gem and have a bright and lively appearance. Claw-set and surrounded by a halo of round brilliant-cut diamonds, perfectly matched in colour and clarity and claw-set in 18ct white gold.

The gallery is basket-style and formed of linear open-work. Shoulders that are lightly open, tapering inwards before terminating at a double engraved ridge and flowing through to a solid 18ct yellow gold band.

  • Opal: Natural precious white opal; Oval cabochon-cut.
