Provenance
Made during the 1950s, this vintage four stone ring is so striking and unique. It's set with four round old-cut diamonds, two larger stones set side by side, flanked by two smaller stones - all claw-set in open-back settings. The diamonds have been well matched in colour and clarity, and all four have impressive symmetry. They have a lovely and subtle warm tint to them, giving the diamonds that soft and romantic glow characteristic of old-cut diamonds.
The gallery is completely solid and follows the curvature of the finger. The ring's design flows from two open-work arms which continue to flow into the ring's shoulders, tapering to a solid 18ct white gold band with an engraved ridge detail around the entire shank.
18ct white gold open-work forming the bombe shape of the ring, to a shank bearing French hallmarks.
