Diamond ring. The mount of this unusual, bold statement ring is divided into geometric sections, set with a total of 5 carats of brilliant-cut diamonds, creating a sharply patterned, sparkling surface reminiscent of cracked ice. Smoothly rounded rings like this are known as bombé rings, and came into fashion in the late 1930s, when diamond jewellery generally became bigger, bolder and altogether more sculptural. This design of this ring is wonderfully tactile and comfortable – the perfect touch of glamour for everyday wear.
