"An extraordinary gem sits at the centre of this beautiful sapphire and diamond ring. A sapphire is formed from a mineral called corundum, they come in a wide range of colours; blue, pink, green, yellow, orange, purple, colourless and black. However, in rare circumstances, the corundum can develop chameleon-like qualities; change colour. A ‘colour-change’ sapphire can change colour when exposed to different light sources. A true wonder of nature, these gems are as beautiful as they are unique. This colour-change sapphire is surrounded by single-cut diamonds, with a slightly larger diamond on each point. The gallery (underneath section) is extremely beautiful, the intricately pierced gold work demonstrates the true quality and overall attention to detail given to this ring. It’s a very special ring and would make a perfect Vintage Engagement Ring."

Certified by GCS London, Bond Street as natural (no heating or treatment) colour-change sapphire.

What does my gemstone mean?
Sapphire
The bold azure blue of a sapphire is thought to represent the study of the stars- this is obvious when we notice the resemblance between a sapphire's deep hue and the colour of the night sky. The name sapphire is derived from the Latin ‘saphirus,’ which directly translates to ‘blue.’ Sapphires are symbolic of luck, loyalty, happiness and love.
