Diamond ring, 1960s. This striking ring is an excellent example of 1960s jewellery design, combining baguette and brilliant-cut diamonds set in scrolled patterns, ingeniously recreating the pear-shaped outline of the central diamond. The intricate setting of these multiple small diamonds creates a tapestry of stones that catch the light differently with each movement of the hand – perfect as a backdrop for the pear-shaped central diamond, making this ring a beautiful and striking alternative to the classic diamond solitaire or cluster ring.
