Opal and diamond ring, circa 1900. Opals are adored for their firework displays of rainbow iridescence, ever changing with the angle of the stone. The central opal cabochon in this ring has a beautiful, tightly packed flashes of colour, predominantly in bright green. In an early 20th century 14 carat gold mount and surrounded by circular-cut and cushion-shaped diamonds, this antique opal cluster is a wonderful addition to anyone’s jewellery collection.
