Opal and diamond ring, late 19th century. Opals are a gem variety of silica, famed for their firework displays of rainbow iridescence, ever changing with the angle of the stone. The five well-matched and perfectly graduated opal cabochons in this ring are particularly translucent, with flashes of orange among the predominantly green and blue plays of colour. Accented by small circular-cut diamonds and set in warm 18 carat yellow gold, this beautiful ring is perfect worn alone or as part of a ring stack. This ring can be easily re-sized to most finger sizes.
