Set in an open backed illusion setting - a technique originating from Paris in the late 19th century that gives the illusion of a larger stone.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe central diamond is surrounded by eight trillion cut blue sapphires, perfectly matched in colour and in rub-over settings with delicate millegrain edging detail. Set within a circular frame of intricate openwork forming a lotus-flower motif that separates each sapphire. The shoulders are slightly raised and are decorated with Egyptian style reed motifs bordered by tiny platinum granules (millegrain edging).
